Hi, I am Eleven Zhang. I am a Frontend & Design Engineer. Half of my work is design engineering and design systems. The other half is agent infrastructure. Day to day, I use TypeScript to build products. For UI, I use Vue, Nuxt and React. For backends, I use Hono and Nitro on Cloudflare Workers. Research
Agent runtime— Make agent engines with different designs behave the same in one runtime, and prove it with tests.
I keep the runtime interface small. One contract test suite runs against all agent engines. The tests contain no branches for a specific agent engine. New capabilities come as extension packages, so the core does not change. The runtime now uses Pi as its only agent engine.
Async semantics and orchestration— Unify six async behaviors with the fewest abstractions: error handling, retry, timeout, concurrency, cancellation and resource cleanup.
Strategy types and their order follow Polly. Cancellation follows Go context. Structured concurrency follows Trio nurseries. The failure model follows Effect. For each feature, I decide if it is necessary or only syntax sugar.
